Indoor Air Quality & Air Scrubbers

Air scrubbers, advanced filtration, and IAQ analysis — make the air inside your home as healthy as the system that conditions it.

Indoor Air Quality Solutions for DFW Homes

Most homeowners think of HVAC as just heating and cooling — but the same system also moves a tremendous amount of air through your home, every hour, every day. What's in that air matters: dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, VOCs from cleaning products and new construction materials, and (in DFW) a steady supply of pollen-heavy outdoor air during spring and fall.

Super Heating & Air offers indoor air quality solutions that integrate with your existing HVAC system — air purification technology that neutralizes pathogens, advanced filtration that catches particles standard filters miss, ductwork inspection for contamination, and IAQ measurement that captures what's actually in your air so we can recommend the right solution for your home.

Common IAQ issues we address include persistent indoor dust, allergy and asthma triggers, musty odors near supply registers (typically a humidity or duct contamination signal), uneven humidity that swings high in summer or dry in winter, and lingering air quality issues following renovation or new-build move-in.

Why this matters in DFW

DFW seasonal pollen loads are intense — oak and cedar pollen counts in spring routinely top 1,500 grains/m³. Summer humidity hovers in the 60–80% range outdoors, putting AC dehumidification under continuous load. Standard 1-inch builder-grade filters don't keep up; most DFW homes benefit from a MERV 11+ filtration upgrade plus active air purification.

What to expect

Here's how a indoor air quality visit goes from booking to follow-up.

  1. 1

    Schedule a free IAQ assessment

Bundle the assessment with any tune-up or diagnostic visit at no additional cost. Standalone assessments also available.

  2. 2

    Onsite air quality measurement

We measure particulate counts, humidity, and (where relevant) VOC levels at multiple points in the home. Real numbers, not guesses.

  3. 3

    Ductwork + system inspection

Visual inspection of return and supply ductwork, filter condition, drain pan/coil condition. Identifies sources before recommending solutions.

  4. 4

    Written recommendations report

Plain-English summary of what we measured, what we found, and prioritized recommendations — sized to your home and your existing equipment.

  5. 5

    Solution install (optional)

If you proceed with a recommended solution, install integrates with your existing HVAC. No rip-and-replace; everything is additive.

What's Included

Super HVAC indoor air quality solutions are sized to your home and integrated with your existing equipment — no rip-and-replace.

Whole-Home Air Purification

Active purification technology (UV light, photocatalytic oxidation, or air scrubber options) that neutralizes pathogens, mold spores, and odors throughout the duct system.

Upgraded Filtration

MERV 11–16 filtration options that catch particles standard 1-inch filters miss — pollen, pet dander, fine dust. Sized to what your system supports.

IAQ Measurement

Onsite air quality measurement for particulates, humidity, and VOCs — so we can recommend solutions that target your home's actual issues, not generic upsells.

Humidity Management

Whole-home humidifiers and dehumidifiers integrated with your HVAC for year-round comfort and reduced strain on equipment.

Ductwork Inspection

Visual and airflow inspection of return and supply ductwork to identify contamination, leaks, or imbalanced airflow that filters alone won't fix.

Written IAQ Report

After the assessment, you receive a written report with measurements, findings, and prioritized recommendations — keep it on file or share with allergists or family.

What's not included

We believe in setting expectations honestly. Here's what this service does not cover so you know what to ask about separately.

  • Mold remediation. If we identify active mold growth, you'll need a licensed remediation contractor; IAQ work addresses ongoing prevention, not active remediation.
  • Whole-home duct cleaning beyond inspection. Some IAQ issues are addressed by ductwork remediation, which is a separate scope quoted independently.
  • Medical advice. We can measure air quality and address common environmental triggers — but persistent allergy or respiratory issues warrant a conversation with your doctor or allergist.
  • Air quality testing for legal/insurance documentation. Our assessment is for service planning, not certified testing for litigation or insurance claims.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything DFW homeowners want to know about indoor air quality.

Filters trap particles. Air scrubbers actively neutralize pathogens, mold spores, and odors — they target a different category of contamination. For households with allergy sufferers, immunocompromised members, or persistent odor issues, scrubbers add real value beyond filtration.
